Highlights

B i r t h d a y H i g h l i g h t s:

Jordan going to Safeway on his own and buying me flowers
and hiding them in the bushes for two days.

Cards and roses from the girls, a balloon from Benjamin
and a surprise early morning breakfast a Denny's.

Craig taking the day off work to just hang out with me.

Sweet phone calls and emails from sweet friends.

Craig stuffing chicken breasts with herbed cream cheese
and sun dried tomatoes to barbque for a family dinner with
Grandpa, Grandma, and Shauna.

A surprise visit with Tam holding a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

Craig and I chillin' with rootbeer floats and a movie.

A Little Lesson:
Some birthdays we go big. Other birthdays we go casual. I like them all. I discovered the expression, it's the thought that counts, is not always true. Today, it was the time that counted. Craig and I didn't have anything extraordinary planned. He was going to take me for a walk in the Endowment lands and have lunch at Granville Island but Emily called at recess with a sick tummy (that bug is still reaking havoc!) and our plans were changed to just being with each other, puttering in the garden, laughing and joking around. No projects to tackle, no scheduled activities, just old fashion sitting in the sun drinking lemonade. As Martha says "It's a good thing."

  1. Oh you are loved by so many Shelley! Glad you had such a 'normal type' day not an isane rat racing one!

And sure hope your family is on the mend real soon...

    Take care of yourself,
